I went to the new Taco Bell last night. It was around 8 p.m.

The food was what you get from Taco Bell - no surprises, order was right and filled in a proper amount of time.

The restaurant is nicely constructed and I like the stone work and wall hangings.

The girl who took the order was a little slower than what I was used to, but no problems. The place was full of staff. I think there was 8 or 10 people working. They looked to be all younger Lebanon kids - kinda of nice to see compared to todays normal fast food staff.

My only problem was the dinning room was dirty. Tables with crap on them, floor dirty and so on. Not so dirty like they never clean the place, just dirty from the winter weather floor traffic and maybe the place had been packed for the dinner hour and nobody had cleaned it up. Trash cans were over full.

With that many staff you would think somebody would have time to clean up the dinning room a little. Minor problem, but if that is the attitude it can become a filthy place pretty quickly.

Overall a pretty good expercience and I know I will be going back.

Got it again the other night, they used to always forget something when handing me a bag out the window, pulled up looked in the bag, BINGO, forgot the Mexican pizza, hubby went in and they still had it in the thingy, melting the cheese on it. oooooops, wonder how many people have to get out and get something they forgot, or one pet peeve is to get all the way home and something not there, :smack

I like the food because I can get something other than burger and fries in a hurry. Spicy chicken tacos were good as was the mexican rice. They rate much better than BK and McD on getting orders right and complete and we order just about everything special.

Went there yesterday for lunch and everything was fantastic! Everything was prepared as ordered and nothing was forgotten! Not even the plastic fork. Actually, I do believe they forgot to put napkins in the bag. Thank goodness we brought things home to eat or we could have been in trouble!!!! I really hate to use my clothes as a napkin :doh

Took my little one there yesterday and the food was good and hot, service was good and even the dining room was clean but I did not go in the busy time of day. I just don't like that they made the dining room so much smaller. I could everyone's conversation!!

We went there on Friday, and I aggree the place is very small inside. Alot of lost people (kids) trying to work but not knowing what to do. It took along time to get our food. The taco's were hot but they had about a tablespoon of meat and tons of lettuce and tomatoe. (Where's the beef)
The Mex.pizza is smaller to. The tables were nasty. not a clean one to be found, most people were trying to clean them with napkins so they could eat. I will go back and try again when the new wears off, maybe things will get better. I hope so, to many other places to get tacos nowadays. 8)

My first comment when they opened was very positive, and then my second comment on this visit came up, it was so-so.....
a couple weekends ago, we went and the place was a flop.....
kinda like how you mentioned, but alittle more worse.......

I dont know who does the schedule for that staff there, but I see no reason, why a girl has to take your order, then run back through the resturant to the other window to give you the food...

Not only is it probably exhausting for this young worker to take the order as best she can hear and punch the order in, it is very dangerous to run through all the employees to the other window to hand the food to you...I could not believe it, my family member nor I would work like that....

get some more hired so someone doesnt have to be worn out like that, I know that the girl in fact did it for 45 minutes, she got my order wrong and I had to come back, two times.....and the girl was still runnin back and forth when I came back to ask about those TACOS WITH NO MEAT OR HARDLY ANY.
YES NO MEAT....PISSED ME OFF.....and there is no sense of that either, I pay my hard earned money, for not only service, but food that I order, not other than........

Another thing that made me very pissy, I walked in and asked for a manager, and I got some smart ass kid, saying hey I think I know you, whats your name, and I said ummm, can I see your manager, and he said yea, but do I know you, I think I do....HOW FREAKING STUPID, OBVIOUSLY I HAVE A CUSTOMER COMPLAINT, is along the lines I said....along with I have to get this food back to my family.....STOP PLAYING AND GET ME YOUR MANAGER. He did.

As, I waited the first time for my food.....That young man yelled out throughout the resturant to the manager several times, that he needed to go cause he had to pick his mom up, and being very loud and silly, He was yelling out every so often that he really needed to go.....Everytime someone came up to the counter to order, he acted very flippid with them, and tried acting like he was cool, when all he was being was completly silly.

I talked to the manager thought I had the order made over for me and let her know thank you, and left the bags on the counter, with the food in it, after going through the drive thru, got home, all my order was not redone, and had only 5 taco replace and that was it, everything else was left on the counter, for I believe that since most everything was wrong she was fixing a whole new order, WRONG, got home saw only 3 taco's in one bag, 2 in another, and thought what....went back again, smart ass kid was gone, girl still running back and forth, and manager tried to say I took the food on the counter that I unwrapped and showed her, nope sure didnt I told her, maybe someone took it home or threw it in the trash, but nope, and she rolled her eyes and came back with the other 5 taco's and the missing Burrito....I told her I knew they was very busy, but there is really no since of comming back 2 times in one night for a order to be correct.....she didnt like the comment, and I WAS TO UNDERSTAND THEY WERE VERY BUSY, was my apoligy...Yea, I will be eating in from now on, so I can save my gas.

ok i went and tried it.. well i gotta ask what ever happened to employees wearing apron's and hairnets? they were quick in taking my order, had maybe four cars in front of me, i pull up to the first window where you pay,and all they cars are gone by this time, window standing wide open not a soul in sight, waited maybe three or four mins. a guy shows up to take my money, hands soaking wet front of shirt soaking wet with food on it. he says oh wait, tries drying his hands on his shirt and say's dishes. (now this is not the same person that took my order,) .after he tells me dishes. i told him i hope your not also making my food. sorry if he had been i would of asked for my money back and left. should of anyway..so i go to the next window.the girl that gave me my food had long hair, no pony tail or anything..i asked her for some mild sauce, she looks at me and said its in the bag, turns and walks away,no thank you, have a nice day kiss my ass or anything.well guess what it wasn't in the bag . the hot and the fire but no mild.. I order 2 maximelts and a taco supreme and small pepsii got the maximelts, and the taco, a taco with some meat, lettuce and tomatoes, no sour ceam no cheese , which was just as well couldn't hardley it eat anyways not knowing if they guy with the wet nasty shirt fixed it or the chic with the long hair ..
when i was in the resturant time of my life you were required to wear a hairnet if you were doing anything around food and if you had to do dishes or cook or prep you had to wear an apron, then if you had to deal with the public you removed that apron..sorry for ranting..
but if people are gonna work around food these are items i think should be used.

I agree, but if Managers and Owners dont enforce it then it will never happen. They should be setting the example and they dont.

the new TACO BELL is nice but they seem to have the same useless slackers working there. It took 20 mins. to get my food today.

For whatever reason this bugs the crap out of me:

When you go through the drive through, they don't say can I help you? or What can I get you today? They say Hi How are you doing? Then just wait for you to give your order. I think that is a strange way to ask for an order. I have gotten so I just say good, then wait on them, it takes a while, but maybe they will get the message. (doubt it)

That's better than going inside at some places. I've had the pleasure several times of being waited on by people who don't ask what you'd like to order but stare you down until you tell them what you'd like. And forget a thank you cause you're not getting it. How rude!

It is, I totally agree, I hate that too, when then dont even say anything to you, while handing you the food you ordered, and closing the drivethru window in your face....that is really rude.

i have yet to step foot inside it. i just cant put my finger on why not though!i really like taco bell. when they first opened, i went- bad service. i decided to give it another shot a few weeks after and it was decent. i went last friday, the drive thru this time, and left extremely disapointed. repeated my order no less then 3 times .
it could have been me though. i do tend to be pickier and less satisfied as i get older...
the brownsburg taco bell is awesome

I managed a restaurant in Lebanon for three years and let me tell you kids come totally unprepared to work these days. One girl, who was 16 at the time and from a well-to-do family, asked me to fix her a hamburger for her supper because she did not know how. What! How can a kid get to be 16 and not know how to fix a hamburger, mop a floor, wash a dish, or count money? She was obviously hired for her looks not her brains, though she was a straight A student. Common sense and work ethic are not easy to find anymore because parents don't want their little darlings to have to work hard like they did. One girl used to talk about how she couldn't wait until her mom died so she could have her jewelry. I loved my job when I got to work with the adults but the teens, some not all, were so frustrating. The kids who came from families who did not give their children everything were the best workers anyone could ask for.

Totally of topic from a Taco Bell review, but you can't generalize all kids. My first job out of college I was the manager of Limited Express at Keystone at the Crossing and my hardest most dependable worker was a girl on college break that was from one off the wealthiest famlies in Carmel. Her parents house sold a few years back for 4 million something. She rocked and had an awesome work ethic. Her car probably cost 4 times than mine did, but it didn't seem to effect her work ethic.

We eat there once every week or two. Typically, it's pretty darn good. Sometimes the food looks a little sloppy. I think they need to calm/slow down a bit.
